BWCS Update: We want to inform you that the lockdown situation has been fully resolved, per the Gila River Police Department. All students and staff are safe, and we have returned to normal operations.

Due to an off-campus police situation, Blackwater Community School was placed on lockdown for the safety of our students and staff. Per Gila River PD, we have moved into SECURE status on campus, allowing us to resume limited activities while maintaining safety.
Please do not come to campus at this time. Staff and students are not permitted to leave until all statuses are fully lifted. ALL staff and students are safe and secure.

This is a friendly reminder that our dress code has remained the same since the beginning of the school year. We have recently seen an increase in students out of dress code and appreciate your support in helping us address this.
If a student is out of dress code, a parent/guardian will be contacted to bring a change of clothes or shoes. In cases of repeated violations, students may need to be picked up.
Dress Code Guidelines (All Students):
• Solid color light blue, navy, or teal collared polo shirt (ALL)
• Khaki, navy blue, black, or denim shorts/jeans (boys)
• Khaki, navy blue, black, or denim shorts/jeans/skirts/jumpers/capris/skorts (girls)
◦ Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be fingertip length when arms are extended naturally at the sides
• Bottoms must fit at the waist (no tight-fitting or oversized/baggy clothing)
• No sweatpants, gym shorts, or pajama pants
• For safety reasons, students are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes. Crocs and slides are not allowed
• Accessories with vulgar, lewd, obscene, or offensive messages, including those referencing alcohol, drugs, or gangs, are not permitted
• Items such as spiked collars, chains, or similar accessories are strictly prohibited
